What is Biktarvy?

Biktarvy is a medication used to treat HIV-1 in adults and children who weigh at least 25 kg (about 55 lbs). It combines three drugs: bictegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide, into one pill that you take once a day.

How does Biktarvy work?

Biktarvy helps control HIV by stopping the virus from making copies of itself. This helps lower the amount of virus in your body and keeps your immune system strong.

Who can take Biktarvy?

Adults and children weighing at least 25 kg can take Biktarvy if they do not have any resistance to the individual drugs in Biktarvy. Your doctor will check your medical history and other medications you are taking to ensure Biktarvy is safe for you.

How do I take Biktarvy?

Dosage:Take one Biktarvy tablet once a day, with or without food.

Missed Dose:If you miss a dose and remember within 18 hours, take it as soon as possible. If it’s been more than 18 hours, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at your regular time.
