Important Safety Information
Serious Warnings: Only use BAQSIMI when the person cannot eat or drink. After giving BAQSIMI, call for medical help immediately. If the person does not respond within 15 minutes, intravenous glucose may be needed.
Do Not Use If:
Allergic to glucagon or any other ingredients.
You have a tumor in the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
You have a tumor in the pancreas (insulinoma).
Before Using BAQSIMI

- Not been eating (fasting) for a long time.
- Chronic low blood sugar.

- Consumed a lot of alcohol.
- Pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
- Breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.

How to Use BAQSIMI
Preparation: Keep BAQSIMI in the shrink-wrapped tube until use. Each device is single-use.
Administration:
- Remove BAQSIMI from the tube.
- Hold the device between your fingers and thumb.
- Insert the tip gently into one nostril until your fingers touch the outside of the nose.
- Push the plunger all the way in.
- The dose is complete when the green line is no longer visible.
- Remove the device from the nose and discard it.
After Administration:
- Call for medical help immediately.
- Turn the person on their side if they are unconscious.
- Encourage the person to eat as soon as they can safely swallow.
Dosage
The recommended dose for both adults and children (4 years and older) is 3 mg given into one nostril. Each device contains a single dose.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, contact your healthcare provider, hospital emergency department, or poison control center immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, slowed gut movement, increased blood pressure, and increased heart rate.
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort
- Upper respiratory tract irritation (sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, nosebleed, sore throat)
- Headache, fatigue, sleepiness
- Watery, red, or itchy eyes
- Ear, face, or neck pain
- Change in sense of taste or smell
- Lack of attention, confusion, anxiety
- Itchy skin, increased sweating
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure
Storage
Store BAQSIMI in the shrink-wrapped tube at temperatures up to 86°F. Replace BAQSIMI before the expiration date.
