Important Safety Information

Before Using BAQSIMI


Inform your healthcare provider if you have:

  • Pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.

Possible Interactions


BAQSIMI may interact with:
  • Beta-blockers
  • Indomethacin
  • Warfarin

  • Sulfonylureas (for type 2 diabetes)

  • How to Use BAQSIMI


    Preparation: Keep BAQSIMI in the shrink-wrapped tube until use. Each device is single-use.


    Administration:

    1. Remove BAQSIMI from the tube.
    2. Hold the device between your fingers and thumb.
    3. Insert the tip gently into one nostril until your fingers touch the outside of the nose.
    4. Push the plunger all the way in.
    5. The dose is complete when the green line is no longer visible.
    6. Remove the device from the nose and discard it.

    After Administration:

    1. Call for medical help immediately.
    2. Turn the person on their side if they are unconscious.
    3. Encourage the person to eat as soon as they can safely swallow.


    Dosage

    The recommended dose for both adults and children (4 years and older) is 3 mg given into one nostril. Each device contains a single dose.


    Overdose

    If you suspect an overdose, contact your healthcare provider, hospital emergency department, or poison control center immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, slowed gut movement, increased blood pressure, and increased heart rate.

    Storage

    Store BAQSIMI in the shrink-wrapped tube at temperatures up to 86°F. Replace BAQSIMI before the expiration date.
