RESTASIS is an eye drop used to help people with a condition called aqueous deficient dry eye disease. This means your eyes don't make enough tears to keep them moist and comfortable.


HOW DOES RESTASIS WORK?

RESTASIS contains cyclosporine, which helps reduce inflammation in the eye and increases your eye’s natural ability to produce tears.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE RESTASIS?

RESTASIS is for adults who have moderate to moderately severe dry eye disease. It is not approved for children under 18 years old.


DO NOT USE RESTASIS IF:

  • You have an active eye infection.
  • You are allergic to cyclosporine or any other ingredients in RESTASIS.

    • HOW TO USE RESTASIS

  • Before Using:
    • Shake the vial gently a few times until the liquid looks white and consistent.
    • Wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Applying the Drops:
    • Use one drop in each affected eye twice a day, about 12 hours apart.
    • Use each vial immediately after opening and discard the remaining contents.
    • Avoid touching the vial tip to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
  • Contact Lenses:
    • Do not use RESTASIS while wearing contact lenses.
    • Remove contact lenses before applying the drops and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.

    • MISSED DOSE

    If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up to make up for the missed dose.


    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS


    Common side effects may include:
    • Burning sensation in the eye
    • Eye redness
    • Eye pain
    • Eye discharge
    • Blurred vision
    • Feeling like something is in your eye
    • Headache

    WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP

    Stop using RESTASIS and get medical help immediately if you experience:
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
  • Severe eye pain

  • Store RESTASIS between 59 to 77°F.
  • Keep the vials in the resealable tray.
