Jublia - Canada Product Information
Jublia is a topical solution used to treat fungal infections of the toenails, known as onychomycosis. It contains the active ingredient efinaconazole.
HOW DOES JUBLIA WORK?
Jublia works by blocking the production of an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to the death of the fungus and reduction of the infection.

HOW TO USE JUBLIA
- Preparation:
- Apply Jublia once daily, preferably at bedtime.
- Ensure your toenails are clean and dry. If you bathe or wash your feet, wait at least 10 minutes for your toenails to dry before applying Jublia.
- Application:
- Remove the cap from the Jublia bottle.
- For the first application, hold the bottle upside down over the affected toenail and gently squeeze to wet the brush.
- Apply the solution to the affected toenail, including the surrounding skin and under the nail. For big toenails, repeat the application.
- Allow the treated area to dry before covering it with socks or bedding.
- Maintenance:
- Clip your toenails every four weeks, discarding the clippings. Clip unaffected nails before affected ones to avoid spreading the infection.
MISSED DOSE
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects include: Redness, itching, burning, or stinging around the toenail.
Uncommon but serious side effects: Severe skin reactions like rash, severe redness, swelling, or blistering.
If you experience severe side effects, stop using Jublia and contact your healthcare professional.
