Premarin Vaginal Cream contains a mixture of estrogens, which are female hormones used to treat certain symptoms of menopause.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR

Premarin Vaginal Cream is used to treat symptoms of menopause such as:

  • Atrophic vaginitis: Dryness and inflammation in the vagina.
  • Dyspareunia: Pain during intercourse.
  • Kraurosis vulvae: Shrinking and thinning of the skin in the genital area.

  • HOW TO USE PREMARIN VAGINAL CREAM?

    Prepare the Applicator:

    Remove the cap from the tube.

    Attach the applicator to the tube by screwing the nozzle end.

    Gently squeeze the tube to fill the applicator to the prescribed dose.

    Unscrew the applicator from the tube.


    Application:

    Insert the applicator into the vaginal opening.

    Press the plunger to release the cream.


    Cleaning the Applicator:

    Pull the plunger out from the barrel.

    Wash with mild soap and warm water. Do not boil.


    DOSAGE

    Low Dose: Apply 0.5g of cream twice weekly (e.g., Monday and Thursday).

    Maximum Dose: Apply daily for 21 days, then take a break for 7 days. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your response.


    MISSED DOSE

    If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal schedule. Do not take two doses at once.


    DO NOT USE PREMARIN VAGINAL CREAM IF YOU:
  • Are allergic to any ingredients in the cream.
  • Have liver problems.
  • Have or suspect you have breast cancer or estrogen-dependent tumors.
  • Have abnormal genital bleeding.
  • Are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant.
  • Have a history of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack.

    • Risk of blood clots: Using estrogen increases the risk of blood clots. Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms like sudden chest pain, shortness of breath, or severe headaches.
    • Cardiovascular health: Estrogen should not be used to prevent heart disease. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary.
    • Latex condoms: Premarin Vaginal Cream may weaken latex condoms and diaphragms, increasing the risk of failure.
