SLYND is a birth control pill that helps prevent pregnancy. It contains only one hormone, drospirenone, and does not have estrogen. SLYND is suitable for girls and women aged 12 years and older.

HOW DOES SLYND WORK?

SLYND works by preventing the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation). By taking SLYND as directed, you have a lower chance of getting pregnant.

INGREDIENTS

• Active Ingredient: Drospirenone
• Inactive Ingredients in the White Tablet: Anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol partially hydrolyzed, talc, titanium dioxide.
• Inactive Ingredients in the Green Tablet: Colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, FD&C blue 2 aluminum lake, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polysorbate, povidone, titanium dioxide, triacetin, yellow ferric oxide.

HOW TO TAKE SLYND

1. Daily Routine: Take one white active tablet daily for 24 days, followed by one green inactive tablet daily for 4 days. Take your pill at the same time every day.
2. Missed Dose: If you miss a white active tablet, take it as soon as you remember and continue with the next dose at the regular time. If you miss two or more active tablets, take the last missed tablet as soon as possible and continue with the next dose at the regular time. Use additional non-hormonal contraception, like condoms, for the next 7 days. If you miss a green inactive tablet, skip it and continue with the next tablet.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

• Do Not Use SLYND If You:
  • Are allergic to drospirenone or any other ingredients.
  • Have or have had kidney or liver disease.
  • Have or have had adrenal gland problems.
  • Have unexplained vaginal bleeding.
  • Are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
• Before Taking SLYND, Inform Your Doctor If You:
  • Have a history of cancer (breast, cervical, or other types).
  • Have or had blood clots.
  • Have diabetes.
  • Have high potassium levels.
  • Are scheduled for surgery or will be on bed rest.
  • Have depression or a history of depression.
• Possible Side Effects:
  • Common: Acne, headache, breast pain, irregular bleeding, nausea, weight gain.
  • Serious: Signs of blood clots (leg pain, shortness of breath), severe headaches, vision changes, breast lumps.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Breast Exams: Regularly check your breasts for any changes and inform your doctor if you notice any lumps, dimpling, or changes in the nipple.
• Missed Periods: It’s normal to miss a period occasionally. If you miss a period and have not taken your pills as directed, take a pregnancy test.
• Other Medications: Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, as some drugs can interact with SLYND and affect its effectiveness.

OVERDOSE

In case of overdose, you might experience nausea, vomiting, or vaginal bleeding. There is no specific antidote; seek immediate medical attention or contact your local poison control center.

STORAGE

• Store SLYND in its original packaging at room temperature
• Keep out of reach of children.
