What is Arnuity Ellipta?
Arnuity Ellipta is an inhaler used to control asthma in adults and children aged 12 and older. It contains fluticasone furoate, an inhaled corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the airways.
How to Use Arnuity Ellipta:
- Open the Inhaler: Slide the cover down until it clicks.
- Inhale the Medicine: Breathe out fully, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and inhale deeply and steadily.
- Hold and Exhale: Hold your breath for about 3-4 seconds, then breathe out slowly.
- Close the Inhaler: Slide the cover back up.
- Rinse Your Mouth: Rinse your mouth with water without swallowing to reduce the risk of infection.
When to Use:
- Use Arnuity Ellipta once daily at the same time each day.
- It is not for immediate relief of asthma attacks. Use a quick-relief inhaler for sudden symptoms.
Important Tips:
- Always use the inhaler as directed by your doctor.
- Do not use more than once every 24 hours.
- Keep track of the doses using the dose counter on the inhaler.
