This is the Canadian Mounjaro KwikPen. Unlike the American version, which comes as four single-use pens, the Canadian KwikPen contains four doses in one multi-use device. Before each injection, check that the medication is clear to slightly yellow and that it has not expired. Do not use the pen if the liquid appears cloudy. To prepare, begin by washing your hands. Clean the red rubber seal with an alcohol swab and attach a pen needle of your choice. Gently tap the pen to move any air bubbles to the top, then eject the priming dose. This ensures you receive the full, accurate amount of tirzepatide. Next, turn the dial until the window displays “1,” which indicates one full dose. Inject into your preferred injection site, making sure to rotate sites weekly to avoid irritation. When finished, carefully recap the needle and dispose of it in an appropriate sharps container.
