How Does Aimovig Work?

Before Taking Aimovig

How to Use Aimovig

Preparation:

1. Take Aimovig out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before use to reach room temperature.
2. Do not use heat sources to warm the autoinjector.
3. Inspect the medication; it should be clear and colorless to slightly yellow.

Injection Sites:

Thigh

Abdomen (except a 2-inch area around the navel)

Upper arm (if someone else administers the injection)

Instructions:

1. Wash your hands.
2. Clean the injection site with an alcohol wipe.
3. Remove the cap from the utoinjector.
4. Pinch the skin at the injection site.
5. Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle.
6. Press the button (for autoinjector) to inject the medication.
7. Dispose the autoinjector in a sharps container.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then continue with your regular schedule. If you are unsure, consult your healthcare provider.

Storage

Keep Aimovig in the refrigerator until ready to use.

If removed from the refrigerator, use within 14 days.

Do not freeze or shake Aimovig.
