Basaglar is a type of insulin called insulin glargine. It is a long-acting insulin that helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
WHO CAN USE BASAGLAR?
Adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who need long-acting insulin.
Children over 6 years old with type 1 diabetes.
HOW TO USE BASAGLAR
Administration: Inject Basaglar under the skin (subcutaneously) once daily.
Do Not: Do not inject Basaglar into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly), and do not use it in an insulin pump.
Mixing: Do not mix Basaglar with other insulins or solutions.
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Temperature: Store unopened Basaglar in the refrigerator. After opening, Basaglar may be stored at room temperature for 28 days, avoiding direct heat and light.
Shelf Life: Check the expiration date on the packaging. Do not use Basaglar™ after this date.
Freezing: If Basaglar freezes, do not use and discard it
