BLEXTEN is a medicine used to relieve symptoms of:

Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis: This is also known as hay fever. It includes symptoms like sneezing, itchy or runny nose, and red, watery eyes in patients 12 years and older.

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria: This condition involves hives and itching in patients 18 years and older.

HOW DOES BLEXTEN WORK?

Blexten is an antihistamine, which means it blocks the action of histamine—a substance in your body that causes allergic symptoms like itching and hives.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN BLEXTEN?

Active Ingredient: Bilastine

Other Ingredients: Colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate

DOSAGE

Blexten is available as 20 mg tablets.

DO NOT USE BLEXTEN IF:

You are allergic to bilastine or any other ingredients in BLEXTEN.

You have a history of irregular heartbeats.

BEFORE TAKING BLEXTEN - TALK TO YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER IF YOU:

Have kidney problems.

Have heart problems or a family history of heart problems.

Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Are breastfeeding.

OTHER WARNINGS

Driving and Using Machines: BLEXTEN can cause drowsiness in some people. Be careful when driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.

HOW TO TAKE BLEXTEN

Dosage: The usual dose is one 20 mg tablet once a day.

How to Take: Swallow the tablet with water on an empty stomach. Avoid eating food or drinking grapefruit juice or other fruit juices for one hour before and two hours after taking the tablet.

MISSED DOSE

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects of BLEXTEN include:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Abdominal pain
