BREO ELLIPTA - Canada Product Information

Breo Ellipta is a prescription medication used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains two active ingredients: fluticasone furoate and vilanterol. Fluticasone furoate is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the lungs, while vilanterol is a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) that helps to relax muscles around the airways, making it easier to breathe.

HOW TO USE BREO ELLIPTA

  2. Once Daily: Use the inhaler once a day, at the same time each day (morning or evening).
  3. Do Not Overuse: Do not use more than once every 24 hours.
  4. Rinse Mouth: After each inhalation, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out. Do not swallow the water.

STEPS TO USE THE ELLIPTA INHALER

  1. Open: Slide the cover down to expose the mouthpiece. You should hear a click.
  2. Inhale: Breathe out fully, then place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it. Take a long, steady, deep breath in through your mouth. Hold your breath for about 3-4 seconds.
  3. Close: Remove the inhaler from your mouth and breathe out gently. Close the inhaler by sliding the cover up over the mouthpiece.
