BRIMONIDINE P is an eye drop used to reduce high pressure inside the eye. This helps manage conditions like chronic open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.


HOW DOES BRIMONIDINE P WORK?
BRIMONIDINE P works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye and increasing the drainage of fluid from the eye. This helps lower the pressure inside the eye.

WHO SHOULD AVOID BRIMONIDINE P?
Do not use BRIMONIDINE P if you:
  • Are allergic to brimonidine tartrate or any other ingredient in the eye drops.
  • Are taking monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (used for depression).
  • Are a child under 2 years old.

    • HOW TO USE BRIMONIDINE P
    1. Dosage: Use one drop in the affected eye(s) three times a day, about 8 hours apart.
    2. Applying the Drops:
      • Wash your hands before use.
      • Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
      • Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze out a drop.
      • Close your eye and press your finger to the corner of the eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute.
      • Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.
    3. Contact Lenses: Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

    MISSED DOSE
    If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not use extra drops to make up for a missed dose.

    POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
    Some common side effects include:
  • Eye redness
  • Itchy eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Dry mouth
  • Tiredness or drowsiness

    • If you experience any severe side effects, such as difficulty breathing, severe dizziness, or signs of a serious allergic reaction, seek medical help immediately.

    STORAGE AND HANDLING
  • Store BRIMONIDINE P at room temperature (59°F - 86°F).
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not use the eye drops after the expiration date.

  • Use with caution if you have severe cardiovascular disease or are prone to low blood pressure.
  • Be careful when driving or operating machinery if you experience drowsiness or blurred vision.
