Iyuzeh Preservative Free Eye Drops (Monoprost) - Canada Product Information
Iyuzeh is sold in Canada under the name Monoprost. Iyuzeh is a single dose eye drop solution that contains latanoprost without preservatives. It is used to lower high pressure in the eye, which can occur in conditions like open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. High eye pressure can lead to damage to the optic nerve, potentially resulting in vision loss.
HOW DOES IYUZEH (MONOPROST) WORK?
Monoprost helps reduce the pressure inside the eye by increasing the natural outflow of fluid from inside the eye.
WHO SHOULD USE IYUZEH (MONOPROST)
Iyuzeh is prescribed for adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years old.
Do Not Use IYUZEH (MONOPROST) If:
- You are allergic to latanoprost or any other ingredients in the solution.
- You have certain eye conditions like active herpes simplex keratitis.
HOW TO USE IYUZEH (MONOPROST):
- Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
- Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze one drop into the pocket.
- Close your eye and press the corner of your eye near the nose for about a minute to prevent the drop from draining away.
- Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to avoid contamination.
- If you use contact lenses, remove them before applying Iyuzeh. Wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.
