CEQUA™ (Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Solution) is a prescription eye drop used to increase tear production in people with dry eye disease (keratoconjunctivitis sicca).

HOW DOES CEQUA™ WORK?

CEQUA™ contains cyclosporine, which helps reduce inflammation in the eye, allowing for increased tear production.

DO NOT USE CEQUA™ IF YOU:

Are allergic to cyclosporine or any other ingredients in this medication.

Have an eye infection.

Have cancer or precancerous conditions in or around your eye.

HOW TO USE CEQUA™

1. Wash your hands before using the drops.
2. Open the vial and use immediately. Each vial is for single use only.
3. Instill one drop into each affected eye twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
4. Discard the vial after use. Do not save unused medication.
5. Avoid contamination: Do not touch the tip of the vial to your eye or any other surface.
6. Contact lenses: Remove contact lenses before applying CEQUA™. You can reinsert them 15 minutes after using the drops.

MISSED DOSE

If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with your next dose as scheduled. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Some common side effects include:

Eye pain or irritation

Redness around the eye

Increased tear production

Blurred vision

Headache

If you experience any severe side effects, such as an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of face or throat), seek immediate medical help.

STORAGE

Store Cequa™ at room temperature.

Do not freeze.

Keep the vials in their original foil pouch until ready to use.

Keep out of reach of children.

When having Cequa™ dispensed from Canada, it is packaged in sterile, preservative-free, single-use vials. The entire contents of each box of 60 vials.
