What is Duavee?

Duavee is a medication that combines two ingredients: conjugated estrogens (a form of estrogen hormone) and bazedoxifene (a selective estrogen receptor modulator). It comes in modified-release tablet form.

What is Duavee used for?

Duavee is used to treat moderate to severe hot flashes (sudden feelings of warmth, often in the face, neck, and chest) in women who have a uterus and are going through menopause.

Who should not take Duavee?

Do not take Duavee if you:

• Have or had blood clots in the legs, lungs, or eyes
• Have or had a stroke or heart attack
• Are allergic to any of the ingredients in Duavee
• Have unexplained vaginal bleeding
• Have or suspect you have breast or other estrogen-dependent cancer
• Have liver problems
• Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding

Important Safety Information:

• Duavee may increase the risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
• Duavee should not be used to prevent heart disease or dementia.
• Regular check-ups with your doctor are essential. Inform your doctor of any unusual vaginal bleeding.
• Do not take additional estrogens or hormone therapies with Duavee.
