Efudex Cream - available online from Canada! Efudex is a topical cream used to treat precancerous skin growths and superficial basal cell carcinoma. - Life-threatening Risks: Efudex can be fatal for patients with low levels of a liver enzyme called DPD. If you have low DPD levels, your doctor will not prescribe Efudex.

Precautions Before Using Efudex
How to Use Efudex
- Wash the affected area with soap and water.
- Dry the area completely.
- Apply a thin layer of Efudex to cover the entire affected area. Use a cotton-tipped swab, suitable glove, or fingertips. Wash hands immediately even if using gloves.
- Avoid getting Efudex in your eyes, nostrils, or mouth.
Dosage:
Apply Efudex twice daily to the affected areas.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Pain, itchiness, and burning sensation at the application site
- Skin irritation, rash, and darkening
- Redness, scaling, and peeling of the skin
- Soreness and tenderness
- Insomnia
- Mouth inflammation
- Pus formation
- Swelling and change in taste
- Watery eyes
Serious Side Effects:
Signs of fluorouracil toxicity include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, stomach ulcers, decreased blood platelets, and white blood cells. If you experience these symptoms, stop using Efudex immediately, wash the treated area with warm water, and seek medical attention.
Storage Instructions
Store Efudex between 59°F and 86°F, away from heat and direct light.
