What is INVEGA SUSTENNA®?

Invega Sustenna® is a medication used to treat schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. It helps manage symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and mood swings.


How is INVEGA SUSTENNA® administered?

Invega Sustenna® is given as an injection into a muscle by a healthcare professional. The medication is given in two doses to start: one on the first day and another one week later. After that, it is given once a month.


Dosage

    • First injection: 150 mg in the deltoid muscle (upper arm).
    • Second injection: 100 mg in the deltoid muscle one week later.

  • Other Medical Conditions:
    • Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, heart conditions, or a history of seizures.
    • Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis treated with antipsychotic drugs are at an increased risk of death.
