TRAVATAN Z (Travoprost) - Canada Product Information
What is TRAVATAN Z?
TRAVATAN Z is an eye drop used to lower high pressure inside the eye. It is prescribed for adults with conditions such as:
- Glaucoma: A condition that can damage the optic nerve due to high eye pressure.
- Ocular Hypertension: Higher-than-normal pressure inside the eye without optic nerve damage.
By lowering the pressure, TRAVATAN Z helps protect your vision.
How Does TRAVATAN Z Work?
Your eye naturally produces fluid, which drains out to maintain healthy pressure. If this fluid doesn’t drain well, pressure builds up. TRAVATAN Z helps increase fluid outflow, reducing pressure in your eye.
Who Should Not Use TRAVATAN Z?
Do not use TRAVATAN Z if:
- You are allergic to any of its ingredients (like travoprost or sofZia® preservative).
- You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Important Precautions
Before using TRAVATAN Z, inform your doctor if you:
- Are breastfeeding.
